Gorgeous scenery and remarkable interaction between theland and people throughout history is the essence of the national park. Hereyou can see astonishing formations sculptured by big forces; the Atlantic Ocean'swaves along the shore, the volcanic activity in the mountains and the glacialcrown that sometimes slides down the mountainsides. What will also inspire youand fill you with energy is to hear and feel how people have coped with theseforces and the magic. For centuries world renowned writers and artists havebeen inspired by this beautiful National Park, including; Jules Verne, Halldor Laxnes, Diter Roth and Jóhannes Kjarval.
In this two day tour you will met local people and get under the surface. You may not take the whole "Journey to the Centre of the Earth", but we guarantee you will at least get a glimpse of the journey.
Snæfellsjökull National Park - Covered as a whole (3 days)
Varied 3 day trip around the glacier Snæfellsjökull; by foot and bike. If weather permits we go to the top of the glacier, which is actually a volcano. Snæfellsjökull was an inspiration to Jules Verne amazing depictions of the journey to Earth's interior Journey to the Centre of the Earth. This majestic peak has inspired many others, e.g. the Nobel laureate Halldór Laxnes in several of his books. - Along the way, you will be convinced that there is something very special in this area which will stimulate your imagination.
The Center of the Center - Iceland in miniature (3 days)
The Snæfellsnes peninsula is often called Iceland in miniature because it has everything which characterizes thecountry. In this tour we will look for the soul and the hart by exploring the land and the sagas. We start in Stykkisholmur like pilgrim William Collinwood did in 1897 in A Pilgrimage to the Sagasteads of Iceland

Get in Touch - Over hills and dales (4 or 5 days)
Up to five days trip: Hiking - cycling - (kayaking - horse riding) - driving bus. Here we are particularly concerned by proximity and a personal meeting with the local population. Feeling nature's presence and glory you will not be without the story, starting at the time the land was settled until today.
